I started about 2 years ago now when I first started working in the cosmetic industry, it was a way for me to share what I was learning and what I was loving. Blogging was very different back then, I got into because I have a real passion in the beauty sector, it is all I've worked in since I was 17. My blog is my space to share anything and everything I love.
Do your friends and family know about your blog?
Yes, my family are so proud of it - especially featuring in the October issues of Cosmo and Company this month - and my closest friends all know about it too. It is a funny subject to bring up, but I am so proud and confident of my blog I will blab away about it anyone that will listen to me, even if they don't 'get' blogging.
Do you think you'll still be blogging in 10 years time?
I hope so! Blogging is such a big part of me, it fills my writing void that I left behind from school, writing for me is very therapeutic. I can sit for a whole day blogging if I need to just clear my head! For me age isn't an issue if I like a blog, I read a lot of older lovely bloggers who write content I much prefer, and I hope my writing continues and becomes as informative as theirs.
Would you consider yourself good at HTML/CSS?
Oh hell naw! haha. I get MrA to do a lot of it for me, he is actually doing my new soon to be launched website so watch out!
Do you like to take part in the #bbloggers chat on Twitter?
Sometimes, I might say the odd tweet but I find when #bbloggers appears in my timeline there is a lot of drama and I cannot be dealing with it. Blogging is supposed to be fun and friendly, sometimes things like that create insecurites and lead to bitching which I don't agree with at all.
Have you ever been to a blogging event?
I have yes, I go to a couple a week, sometimes more sometimes less depending on how I feel. Blogging events are so much fun, not only do I get to hear about some fabulous new products but the best part is catching up with all the lovely girls - both bloggers and PRs - I've created a lot of great friendships with them and I love a good chit chat with a cocktail!
Who are your favourite established bloggers?
Oo err umm eeek.. Llymrs, Vipxo, Nicolavc86, Cats little obsessions, Zoelle, Kelanjo, Beauty Mouth, Dainty Dolly Mix.. omg I could go on and on I always hate these questions, as I follow so many darn blogs!
Who are your favourite new bloggers (under 18mnths)?
Buy now blog later , Sprinkle of glitter, Mouldy Fruit, ummm ahhh again I'm rubbish at this... FleurDeForce.. can I stop now my mind is going to explode?!
What is your favourite post from your blog and why?
I really like my 'fave...' whatever posts, as it is always changing so you get to see the products that I have loved for a long time but you also get a nice rotation of new products that I fall in love with. OOTD are always nice to do, I really should do more of them as when I post an OOTD I always get such a lovely response. Plan for next week more OOTD.
Which camera/device do you use to take photos for your blog?
Er a canon one? It's pink? It goes 'click' is that specific enough for you?! I am rubbish at photography, though I am about to purchase a shiny proper grown up camera, I want to better my blog and I think a good camera is the way to go.
Name one thing you like about blogging?
The friends I have made.
Name one thing you dislike about blogging?
The bitching and freebie grabbing.
And a weird one, would you rather be a tiny rhino or a giant hamster?
Can I be a flying pig? I really wish they were real...
Cheers Sophie for letting me take over a small space on your blog, hope you guys enjoyed this!! xo
I'd like to unofficially call Lu my 'big sister in blogging' because she's always there when you need a moan, and vice versa. It's really nice to make proper friends through blogging and I'd consider her as one of them! Her blog is one I've always looked up to, and she's even recently been in Company and Cosmopolitan magazine- how insane is that?!
