A rather late and rather long July Favourites, can you believe it's already the 7th of August? August?! Christmas is less than 5 months away now and I'm already starting to think of ideas for presents, which is pretty ridiculous. I can't think of anything now I have a cupcake maker on the way, who could want more than that? I'll let you know all the details on that soon, I was granted a wish by the Fairy Hobmother (no joke).
MUA Clear Mascara: This is the first ever MUA product I have owner, and is one of three products I own by them- two which were given as a giveaway prize (thanks Gem). This a basic beauty essential for combing and tidying the old brows with, a definite necessity.
Stila Oil-Free Sheer Colour Tinted Moisturiser: I had high hopes for this and it sure lived up to them, it's the perfect shade for me (Light 01) and doesn't take too much effort to apply. Slap it on and you're ready to go. I do find this gets slightly oily/shiny after a few hours so don't tend to wear it to work etc.
Witch Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer: I won this for having the Tip Of The Day on their website, and have been using it ever since. I don't particularly have acne or blemish prone skin but it's perfect for keeping away the shine, if you know what I mean! It's not drying even though it's a gel consistency rather than a cream.
Witch Anti-Blemish Concealer: I won this from Abby (abbzzw) a few weeks back now and was impressed the first time I used it. It's quite thick in consistency but doesn't dry out the blemish or look cakey and sits on the skin perfectly. It doesn't need reapplying and doesn't oxidise during the day, which I find a few concealers do.
Witch Anti-Blemish Tinted Moisturiser: A quite new purchase (two weeks ago) for me since finding out how great the Witch Skincare line is. I thought this would be really dark for me as it's quite orange in the tube but on application it seems to transform to match my skin tine. On days I am out for more than a few hours I will use this Tinted Moisturiser.
Boots Almond, Pistachio & Milk Body Butter: I was lovingly donated this by my mum who's allergic to quite a few of the ingredients. It's probably centuries old but I love it, the smell is gorgeous- not even kidding. I don't really like almonds or pistachios but the smell of this is amazing, and I really like the smell of milk. That's not odd is it? The consistency is lovely and thick too yet not as thick as The Body Shop's.
Aussie Aussome Volume Mousse: I was sent this by the Aussie PR and was hoping I would like it as my hair is as flat as a pancake. I can honestly say it makes such a difference to my hair and I've nearly ran out after using it for nearly 2 months now, but I will definitely be buying this. It doesn't make my hair crispy or sticky and has slight hold too. A definite favourite this month.
Aussie Mega Shampoo: This is my holy grail shampoo that I don't think I will ever stop using. If I had to fight to buy the last bottle of this I would- it's amazing. I was forever looking for volume boosting shampoos but one that rinses without build up does the job I need. It doesn't weight down my hair and makes it so easy to train (starting to wash every other day). This is my second bottle and I will definitely be repurchasing a third. I'm completely smitten with this shampoo, enough said.
Aussie Texturising & Conditioning Gel Spray: I use this everyday without fail, that's how good it is. I will either use it just with my heat protectant or will use my mousse as well. I was always confused as to what volume was, and I obviously was just looking for texture. It gives my flat, straight hair a bit of oomph and shape. I use this all over the ends and layer leaving me with the perfect hair for second day curls or a messy top knot. I wouldn't be without this!
Topshop Cream Blush in Neon Rose: I bought this after bowing to peer pressure for Vivianna after seeing it countless times on her blog and a few others. It gives a beautiful powder finish and is nicely applied with my MAC 187. I don't use much of this to avoid clown cheeks but a tiny amount gives a nice flush.
Rouge Bunny Rouge 'Unforgettable Oriole' Eyeshadow: This eyeshadow has taken place of both All That Glitters and Naked Lunch for me. It's a shimmery beige with no hint of orange or yellow at all- perfect for my skin tone. I love the super soft, almost creamy texture that tells you it's an expensive eyeshadow.
MAC MSF in Rose Quartz: I picked this up when it was released with the Semi-Precious collection and have pretty much used it daily. It can work as a blush or a highlight and I've been using a mixture of the two. I wouldn't say it's a makeup essential but it's so damn gorgeous that I had to have it.
Sleek Pout Polish in Bare Minimum: The Nude collection is actually supposed to be released at the end of the month but when I saw this in my local Superdrug I did a bit of a #clowndance! I'm already addicted to Pout Polishes (I own 7) but this one takes the biscuit. It's more pigmented that the other limited edition ones but isn't light or yellow enough to be mistaken for shiny concealer lips. I would recommend it to everyone when it's released!
MAC Lipstick in Angel: A true light pink with a frost finish that suits me down to the ground. It's not offensive in any way and is probably the most wearable lipstick I own, so I'm so happy to have won this from Gem's blog giveaway. Thank you Gem, I love it to pieces.
Overall it's been a month of many new discoveries from brands I have never tried before. It's nice to break the boundaries and take a look at different products. What are your favourites this month?
I was sent the Aussie Aussome Volume Mousse to review (coming soon), and won two Witch products from the company itself. I also won the Rouge Bunny Rouge eyeshadow and MAC lipstick. This does not hinder/change my opinion in any way- I just looove them.
