When we arrived (me, the best friend and the mum), we were ushered inside the locked doors like it was some secret agency convention. We were offered food and champagne, so me and Anna casually nibbled on the red pepper while having a look around all the counters. As you do. The rest of the store was blocked off, though I did try and make a run for Maybelline; I didn't know they were shut off until my friend shouted at me from the rather gigantic sign saying 'not allowed past this point'. I'm sure I've got selective... seeing?
Only the people who had RSVP'ed were given a goodie bag, which we had. It contained a few little goodies: a 'Color Plump' Lip Crayon in Luv Ya, and the Thrrrob Box Powder. I can't believe they were giving pretty much £35 away, and as I'd always looked at Thrrrob I'm glad I've now go it. As for the Color Plump Lip Crayon, it glides onto your lips so smoothly and looks just like a lipstick.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think these were given away as they may be discontinued soon. They all had the Tester label on them but were brand new. I'm guessing they were going to be used as Testers but as they are being discontinued they had to get rid of them somehow. I'm probably completely wrong but that's my thoughts.
I then decided to purchase Boi-ing (shade 1) as I've ran out of mine, and I'd seen people given extra goodie bags for buying things. I was then given another 'Color Plump' Lip Crayon in Yoo Hoo and a Silk Lip Pencil in Lush. The shade Lush is so soft and has great colour pay off, it also has a smudge tool on the the other end.. always handy.
Swatches: Thrrrob, Yoo Hoo, Luv Ya, Lush. I had to make my hand look grey to get the true colours of the products.

After Anna was offered for 'the porn star look' from one of the rather tipsy Benefit ladies, we went to the raffle. We didn't win any of the gorgeous Clarins, Lancome, Benefit or Clinique boxes but owell! We did however each get a Georgia Armani weekend bag as we left.. it's beautiful! The perfect size for a weekend away in London.
Overall I had a really good time, even though it was arranged just to get us all to buy things! I think it was well organised and it was great being able to try all the different products. It was nice to be invited and I think the goodie bags we were given were well worth the 3 hours we spent looking around.
Have you ever been to one of these sort of 'events? What did you think of it?
