London Baby! (Haul Part 1)

Hi girlies!

As many of you will know by now, I went to London at the weekend to get a few things for my birthday. It wasn't a conventional birthday where my mum buys them for me, as I think my mum finds it hard to get me gifts. I couldn't think why :)

I had such a great time in London, I can't wait to go there again. Everybody is so fashion forward! I also saw both Duncan James (from blue, bit of a has-been) and CHIPMUNK whilst waiting in the queue for Hollister.. talk about a coincidence!

Anywho.. Onto the good stuff!

Haul Part 1: MAC Cosmetics

Face Products
I love, love, love MAC! Isn't it amazing? I'd never been there before but liked it so much I had to go back again the day after. That means I spent a LOT of money! Here's what I picked up..

MAC Brush Cleanser
A bit lame for my first purchase, but I got some eyeshadow too. I needed something to clean my brushes between colours! It smells really lovely and is actually cheaper than Clinique's cleanser at £8.50.

MAC Mineralize Satin Finish Foundation
I really like this, it's light but has a good coverage. It's also the perfect shade for me (NC15) which I've found many others aren't.. I'm talking to you Clinique, and you Benefit!

MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer
I'm not too keen on this actually, it's really drying. I'm going to use it all up though! Does anybody have any tips?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
Oooh, pretty. I'm definitely loving this, it's so much better than my Bourjois Illuminating Touch. Hard to beat!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Light)
Wow I'm really digging this. How could I have never seen it before? It's brilliance in a powder. It feels like satin on my skin, and I've started wearing it just on it's own.

MAC Eyebrows Crayon in Fling
I like this. It's the right shade for my eyebrows and makes filling them in so simple. *Simples* :)

MAC 217
This brush is so soft, and it reminds me of the No7 Eyeshadow Blend & Contour Brush!

MAC 187
I've been using this to stipple on the satin finish foundation I got. It's working really well at giving me a flawless finish. Thumbs up from me!

I have to admit, I did go a little OTT on the old eyeshadows..

Pro Colour Palette x15
I got this as my 'at home' palette where I can keep them all organised and pretty.

Pro Colour Palette x4
This is my newly named 'travel palette', perfect for trips to London :)

& I purchased..

(left to right) All That Glitters, Paradisco, Sable, Coppering and Handwritten.

Thanks for reading! Can you recommend any other MAC products to me? I'm interested in getting the Fix+?

  1. looks like you had alot of fun in mac lol!

I love my soft and gentle! and spfn :)

I would deff try the fix + i love it i spray it on after ive finished my make up and it sets it for the day and gets rid of any 'cakeyness' and leave a really pretty finish :)
I use the hairdryer to dry it fast i think it makes it look better lol

Ohh and naked lunch eyeshadow if great! :)

  2. Laura: I did, maybe too much lol! Oh I will have to check them both out, I've been recommended Naked Lunch by a few other people too.. so I'll have to swatch it :) Fix+ sounds like my miracle product I'm gonna have to check it out. Thanks for your help, and your lovely comment. I'm your newest follower xx

  3. Great first mac purchases! I really want to try some of the face products

  4. I use the concealer and i dont find it that drying. What i'd reccomend is using only a pea on the back of your hand. And using a large flat brush to put it on with it, your finger but tapp it on. Dont blend it too hard or it will soak in quick.

  5. Lisa: That's what I've been doing, but it just doesn't seem to like my skin. My skin can be a bit dry/sensitive when it wants to be. But thank you for the tip! x

  6. I really love the mineralized skin finish. My other favourite MAC items are their Pro Longwear Foundation, Club Eyeshadow, Malt Eyeshadow, their prolong wear lipcremes and their cremesheen glases.

  7. I love the MAC 187 brush, it's amazing!
